Temptations: An Oriental Orthodox Conference

On Saturday, September 12, 2009, our church will be hosting the first-ever (youth & young adults) Oriental Orthodox Conference.

The conference theme will be on Temptations;
“No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

The Armenian, Coptic, Ethiopian, Eritrean, Syrian, and Malankara (Indian) Churches are considered Oriental Orthodox Churches.

The conference is for all youth and young adults.

Guest speakers: Mr. John Malek & Deacon Abraham George

Mr. John Malek is a graduate of St. Vladimir’s Seminary. He has especially close relations to the Belleville Coptic Church Youth Group.

Dn. Abraham George is a graduate of St. Tikhon’s Seminary. He is a Staten Island native who attends St. Mary’s Orthodox Church, West Sayville.

It begins at 9 am and ends at 3pm.
